RANA PEDIATRIC FUND

The Rana Pediatric Fund (RPF) was created in 2017 by Dr. Sohail Rana, a pediatrician, professor, researcher and sickle cell disease and HIV specialist at Howard University Hospital. RPP offers a unique family advocacy support program to our patients, extending comprehensive, whole family support and assistance to families with sickle cell disease and other chronic conditions through patient and community education, psychosocial and educational support, and family assistance. The fund operates under the nonprofit status of Howard University and provides much needed support for research projects, emergency patient assistance, advocacy, lectures, education, partial staff salaries, and more. Other staff include Joanne Adelberg, Patricia Houston, Saher Iqbal, Ashley Danso and Cynthia Gipson.
